Scissor Sisters more than wowed the audience in Birmingham prior to their performance at Glastonbury this weekend.

The US stars filled the venue to capacity last night, with an atmosphere that felt like the entire second city moving to their New York beat.

You could barely move in the club as hits including "Don't Feel Like Dancin'" were bashed out by the band with immaculate vocals and music.

"Kissing Me Off" was among the big hits featured, but at times it was hardly possible to see what was happening as the club was so packed.

However, it was a delight for men and women alike when vocalist Jake Shears ripped off his shirt, and was by the end of the night dressed in nothing but a red, white and blue unitard.

Fellow vocalist Ana Matronic had fans in the palm of her hand as she talked the crowd through the songs.

The audience went crazy for the set, which was an even mix of favourites and new releases.

"Comfortably Numb" and "Filthy Gorgeous" rounded off a raucous set of camp classics.
