A by-election for a vacant seat on South Staffordshire Council will be contested next month.
The election in the ward of Huntington and Hatherton will be held on Thursday, July 1.
The seat was formerly held by Conservative Councillor Mrs Patricia Williams who died on March 30 at the age of 73. Residents living in the ward have until Wednesday, June 16 to register to vote or to request a postal vote.
Requests for proxy votes can be made until 5pm on Wednesday, June 23. Polls will open at 7am and will close at 10pm. The count will take place from 10pm at Huntington Community Centre.
Steve Winterflood, chief executive at South Staffordshire Council and returning officer for the election said: "Local residents still have time to register to vote or to register for a postal vote."

Mrs Williams, of Elms Lane, Shareshill, who was elected in 2007, died after attending a planning site visit in Brewood.
