Man is held after Tipton drug raid

A pensioner was arrested and hundreds of pounds of cannabis seized in a drugs raid in the Black Country today.

A 66-year-old man was arrested in the raid in Eastfield Road, Tipton, at 7am.

Cannabis worth £400 and equipment valued at £200 were taken by police officers.

The pensioner was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

Sergeant Stephanie Court said: "We had intelligence that cannabis was being grown."
