Arsonists started a blaze which tore through hundreds of tons of scrap metal and empty gas cylinders at a Black Country metal recycling plant.

A 300ft safety cordon was set up around Enablelink, in Budden Road, Coseley, because of an explosion risk.

It took firefighters more than two hours to tackle the blaze from 8pm last night.

Enablelink employs 45 people and is one of the biggest metal recycling plants in the West Midlands.
