A chef from an award-winning Black Country restaurant will be battling against other cooks in a tough new culinary challenge from tonight.
A chef from an award-winning Black Country restaurant will be battling against other cooks in a tough new culinary challenge from tonight.
Sudha Shankar Saha, executive chef at Saffron on Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury, is taking part in Iron Chef UK.
This week the 35-year-old will be pitting his wits against a team of Michelin star industry chefs for the Channel 4 show.
Sudha, who has worked in restaurants in Spain, Dubai, Canada and India, recently won the prestigious Alaska Seafood Challenge in London.
His television battle comes just days after the restaurant was named the best in the West Midlands.
Sudha said: "I am absolutely passionate about cooking."
