The family of a girl from Staffordshire who died when a looped cord from a roller blind got tangled round her neck have spoken for the first time about their "lovely cheeky little girl."

Lillie Bagnall-Lambe, aged 16 months, died on February 9 this year.

It was the second tragedy in Staffordshire within days as three-year-old Harrison Joyce from Lichfield had died after being strangled by the same blind cord design.

His parents Rachel Lawlor and Scott Joyce have set up Harrison's law in a bid to get looped cords on blinds banned.

They are being backed by the Bagnall-Lambe family.

Mother Sarah, aged 37, said: "I still can't believe she has gone. I have a permanent ache in my stomach.

"I yearn for her and still expect to see her. We are heartbroken. Lillie was a lovely cheeky little girl."
