People are now able to catch trains from the revamped Tipton Railway Station.
The town centre station closed last September for a £2.5 million refurbishment. It reopened yesterday.
Today workers on their way to their jobs in Birmingham city centre were back at their local station after months of travel misery.
Hairdressing student Tyne Carroll, aged 17, lives just doors away from the station in Owen Street.
She has been having to travel to Dudley Port Station to start her journey towards the Reflections Hairdressing College in Birmingham.
She said: "It's so nice to have it open again."
