Fashion's flamboyant fairy godmother Gok Wan brightened up a drizzly West Bromwich when he arrived in town to help females in need of a style fix.
Around 200 girls queued in the rain to meet their idol and attempt to get a Gok makeover on his television show.
The presenter made a quick dash from his car into the town hall in West Bromwich High Street on Saturday, dressed in a bright red military style jacket, skinny jeans and his trademark quiff and glasses.
And while the stage was set inside for his new series of Gok's Fashion Fix, the women, who had been told to bring their whole wardrobes in a suitcase, stood shivering outside.
First in the queue were mother and daughter Rachael Smith and Sandra Fisher, from Wednesbury.
Rachael, of Coronation Road, said: "Mum's come along to give me some support. "I just want a full makeover, what ever he wants to do with me.
"I don't have the time to dress up so I just wear jeans and a t-shirt, I'd love a new look and I think Gok is absolutely fantastic."
After the event, Rachael, aged 34, said: "He was a fantastic bloke, he said I didn't need a make over which I suppose is a good thing.
"He looked fantastic, I asked him all about his clothes."
Diane Faulkener, of Court Road, Whitmore Reans, also turned up with her 20-year-old daughter Emma.
Diane, 44, said: "I've got jeans, boots and a fleece on, it's just what I normally wear every day.
"I've bought some totally horrendous clothes with me, there's a brown knitted jumper which is horrible but it keeps the cold out."
Emma, who works at The Public in West Bromwich, added: "I'm your typical student, hoodies and baggy jeans is all I wear.
"It would be nice to get a new look, Gok's just so lovely, he makes you feel really confident."
