Gunman in hotel attack

A gunman pistol-whipped a hotel worker during a failed robbery in Bilston today.

Three men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas demanded cash from two staff at the Haven Hotel, on Claremont Street. One of the robbers struck a worker with the butt of a gun, before the three fled the scene empty handed.

It is not thought the workers were injured in the 3am attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact Wednesfield CID on 0845 113 5000.
