First it was New Order accompanied by the John Barnes rap, then it was Skinner and Baddiel singing about three lions on their shirts.

But could the next England terrace anthem be sung by part-time care worker Steve Heathcock from Stourbridge?

Steve has been busy promoting his single England Forever on radio stations and in the Express & Star. Now, he has become a video star. The singer-songwriter filmed a video to accompany what he hopes will be this summer's World Cup hit.

Bright sunshine accompanied the video shoot yesterday at the home of Stourbridge FC, The War Memorial Athletic Ground with director Matt Stroyd fine-tuned the performance on the ground's hallowed turf.

Steve said: "It has been a great day and the weather just made it."

The singer-songwriter, of Heath Farm Road, Norton, Stourbridge, co-wrote the track with musical partner Mike Tongue.

Steve, who is a part-time care worker at Beechlawns Home, in Stourbridge, has already produced his own album entitled The Cynick. For information on the track visit www.myspace.com/scorpiofivesteve
