Halesowen Town FC will be barred from next year's FA Cup competition, losing thousands of pounds in potential revenue, it was revealed today.

The Football Association confirmed that The Yeltz will not be allowed to take part in the competition at least the 2011-12 season.

Supporters group the Yeltz Trust called the blow "devastating" for fans.

FA spokesman Mark Hooper said the club would not be allowed to enter next year's prestigious event as it was banned from this season's FA competitions due to financial difficulties.

Club administrators Marshman Price today also confirmed that an agreement to sell the Yeltz to businessmen brothers Godfrey and Graham Ingram had still not been finalised.

It means the club, which plays in the Southern League Premier, could also be barred from entering the FA Trophy competition next season if the sale is not completed in time to submit application forms to the footballing authority by April 1.

The Ingrams had ann-ounced their intention to buy the club, which plays its matches at The Grove, last year with creditors backing their bid.

But a sale agreement or contract for the club has not been signed and sent to the FA for its approval.
