The body of a woman was found at a house in the Blackfords area of Cannock today. A man has been arrested in connection with the death.

Paramedics were first called to the terraced house in Cannock Road at about 2.45am. Police confirmed that the body of the 59-year-old woman had been found inside the home.
A forensic team was called to the property, which is being guarded by police officers. The team in white suits are still carrying out work at the house.
The body was removed from the house just after 11am.
The car park of the nearby Garam Masala Indian restaurant in Old Fallow Road, opposite the house where the body was found, has been taped off by police.
Staffordshire police spokeswoman Carol Evans confirmed that the body of a woman, who has not yet been named, had been found inside the house.
"Police are treating the death as unexplained," she said.
"A Home Office post mortem is due to take place later today."
The spokeswoman added that a 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.
Neighbours said that a man and a woman and their grown-up son had lived at the house, but it was thought the couple had recently divorced.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said that police had previously been called to a number of disturbances at the house.
Officers have taken CCTV film from the nearby Co-op store in Cannock Road to study.
