Arabinda Kumar Biswas died at Himley Mill Nursing Home in School Road, Himley.

He was 82. His son Roger Rajah Biswas, who was born with cerebral palsy and was also a resident at the home, had died a fortnight earlier aged 38.

Dr Biswas, of Wordsley, was a consultant urologist at Dudley's Guest Hospital and also worked at Birmingham General Hospital.

Funeral services will take place at Gornal Wood Crematorium on Friday.

A Christian service will be held for Roger while there will be a Hindu service for Arabinda Biswas.

Dr Biswas met his wife Joy, a nurse at Birmingham General, in the 1960s and they married in India in 1968. Joy died in 2003.
