Police have launched a hunt for crooks behind the burglary at Lancaster and Thorpe Opticians, in Anchor Road, where four computers were also stolen.
Staff said a wheelie bin from behind the store is thought to have been used by the criminals to transport their haul.
Details about the burglary, which took place between 5.30pm on Thursday and 8.45am on Friday, were released for the first time by police today.
It is the latest burglary in the centre of Aldridge over recent months. Burglars smashed through the wall of Lloyds TSB in the village's High Street before making off with cash last November.
