As a boy Ian Edwards would look forward to Saturday afternoons when his dad would take him to The Clifton Cinema in Great Barr.

Since then Ian has been movie mad and has collected around 30 projectors and more than 1,000 films, including Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Keystone Cops.

Ian, 48, who works at Trac Heaton in West Bromwich, enjoys sharing his love of films with people and regularly takes his old movies to clubs and nursing homes across the West Midlands.

The father-of-one has been collecting the films for around 15 years and says he picks up the projectors at car boot sales, dealers and collectors fairs.
