A nightclub where a father was gunned down in front of revellers could reopen as a shop, under plans unveiled today.

Tropical Harmony, in Bilston, has been shut since the murder of 50-year-old Danny McCalla in November.

Wolverhampton City Council stripped the club of its licence last month.

And now owner Ade Otukoya, who leased out the notorious club, has applied to turn the venue into a shop. A decision is due to be made in March.

The High Street nightspot has been the scene of a catalogue of crimes.
