More than 200 seasonal jobs are up for grabs at one of the Midlands' biggest tourist attractions.

Hundreds of hopefuls are expected to respond to a recruitment drive which will roar ahead in the New Year.

West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley, is seeking 250 people to take up key positions ready for when the attraction reopens to the public on February 13.

Vacancies on offer include commercial assistants, guest services assistants, catering and cleaning staff, amusement ride operators and games assistants.

Both full and part-time staff are needed to help cover peak periods at the park.

And to find people for the roles, recruitment events will be held in Kidderminster town centre on January 9 and on January 11 between 10am and 1pm.

A similiar event last year attracted hundreds of jobseekers trying snap up positions at the attraction.

Both recruitment events will be held aboard the Jobcentre Plus jobsbus.

West Midland Safari Park human resource officer Michelle Link said both events were expected to be well-attended.

"Following the success of last year's recruitment, we are very pleased to be working with Jobcentre Plus again this year and hope to attract a lot of people to the open days.

"We have a wide variety of positions for people of all ages and backgrounds."
