Two youths who raped a teenage girl outside a Black Country pub have been locked up for nine years.

Kumarlo McKoy, aged 20, of Shinwell Crescent and Donovan Reid, 18, of Ivy House, both Oldbury, were sentenced yesterday.

A third man, Rory Faulkner, 19, of Lower Chapel Street, Tividale, was given a six year term for sexually assaulting the girl. All three "humiliated" her, according to Judge Nicholas Webb, following the attack outside the Phoenix on the Lion Farm Estate, Oldbury on November 8 last year.

McKoy and Reid were found guilty of rape and sexual assault by a jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court last month. Faulkner was found guilty of sexual assault.

Miss Sam Forsythe, defending Faulkner, said: "This is his first conviction for a sexual offence.

"At the time of this offence he was studying at Halesowen College. He appears to have had a bright future.

"He is academically bright."

John Evans, defending Reid, said: "This evolved as time went by. It was not a classic case of people going out to take advantage of someone.

"This is a young man with difficulties."

Miss Elizabeth Norman, defending McKoy, said: "There is no evidence of him causing any physical injuries to the victim."

Judge Webb told the three men they all knew how old the girl was.

"The three of you sexually assaulted a young girl," he said.

"She was subjected to a series of sexual acts.

"The affect on her has been damaging."

All three men have now been placed on the Registered Sex Offenders List for life.
