Residents vent fury at burner
Angry villagers packed out a parish council meeting to vent their fury over plans to build a £120 million incinerator in Hartlebury.

Councillors were stunned by the turn-out at last night's event – the first held since plans for the development were announced. And the response was so great the council has now called a special meeting on January 14 to discuss the issue further.
Many of those attending last night were residents from the Waresley Park estate.
They live closest to Hartlebury Trading Estate where Mercia Waste Management (MWM) plans to create the incinerator.
Their concerns centre on the size of the proposed plan and the levels of smell and noise. But members of the parish council said there were still a number of concerns.
Resident Nigel Dowty, 38, who has lived on Waresley Park for five years, said: "The main concern is about the size of this building. Also we are concerned what goes up the planned chimney will have to come down somewhere."
Chairman Jenny Jones said: "The number of people who attended last night's meeting shows the strength of feeling towards this development. More than 60 packed into the parish hall."
Mrs Jones said the council would decide on its next move after the meeting in January.
MWM spokesman Caroline McDonald said all residents' views would be taken into account.
