House cordoned off after attack
A house in the Black Country was today sealed off by police after a man was attacked by a gang and taken to hospital with head injuries.
Detectives cordoned off the semi-detached house in Wolverhampton and covered a Jaguar and Astra van on the driveway with blue tarpaulin after trouble flared last night. A police community support officer was also today standing guard outside the house in Prestwood Road, Heath Town.
A 40-year-old man was taken from the house to New Cross Hospital with bruising to his head and eye after being assaulted by three men.
West Midlands Police spokeswoman Zoe Lee, said officers were called to the scene at around 10.15pm last night.
"The address in Prestwood Road has been cordoned off while police investigate," she added.
