An explosion in a shed sent a door and debris flying through the windows of nearby flats.

It is believed the blast in Brownhills was caused by fumes from an open petrol can kept next to a mini motorbike being stored in the brick shed, which was struck in a suspected arson attack.

The building, next to a block of maisonettes in Marklew Close, was completely destroyed in the explosion, which happened at around 5.30pm yesterday.
