Cannabis plants worth more than £75,000 have been seized during a drugs raid at a Tipton pub.

Police found 150 plants ready for cultivation after executing a drugs warrant at the Cottage Inn on Alexandra Road. The raid at the Cottage Inn took place in October and details have only just been revealed by police.

A 47-year-old man is now set to appear at West Bromwich Magistrates Court on December 18 charged with permitting production of a controlled drug on the premises. The case is expected to be committed to the crown court on that date.

Sergeant Dave Rogers, who is based at Tipton Police Station, said: "Tipton officers are responding to the needs of our communities, and will continue to crack down on drugs, and criminality in the town.
