A road closure on the Tipton and Dudley border will be extended for a week while a new water main is installed, it emerged today.

The work is part of the major road improvement scheme at Burnt Tree Island.

The one-way road closure of Tividale Road was today extended down to Bradley Street to allow engineers to install the main and connect into the existing supply.

The extended closure began at 8am and will remain until 5pm on Friday.
