The 85-year-old broke her right hip, fracturing her arm and injuring her leg as she fell to the ground during the crash in a traffic-free shopping centre.
It happened as she was walking past Marks & Spencer in Weavers Wharf, Kidderminster.
She was taken by ambulance to Worcester Royal Hospital where she underwent surgery after being knocked over by the red motorised mobility scooter.
Police spokeswoman Julia Jones said the victim was today believed to now be in a comfortable condition.
The driver, a white woman with shoulder-length hair and wearing a light-coloured top, did not stop at the scene.
Pc Derya Mustafa said several people witnessed the incident at 12.50pm Saturday, and urged them to get in touch on 0300 333 3000.
