Baby tipped out of pram by thief

A baby was hurt when he was tipped from his pram as a thief snatched his mother's handbag in Kidderminster town centre, police revealed today.

A woman was pushing her baby along Coventry Street just after 11pm when a man approached her from behind, grabbed the bag from her pram, knocked it over and then ran away.

The baby hit his head on the ground when the pram tipped. He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a bump on his head but has been discharged.
