Wolves-mad Adam Beddard underwent 10 years of treatment after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15, while a pupil at Codsall High School. His friends today described him as an "inspiration".

The hour-long programme, Teenagers Fighting Cancer, screened in July, followed him over nine months of visits to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital's young person's unit in Birmingham.

Despite his illness, Adam founded a successful garage-rock band called Clout, which came third out of 1,200 entrants in the Battle of The Bands competition in 2007.

Band member and former classmate Andy Lloyd, of Tettenhall Road, Tettenhall, today paid tribute to Adam.

"He was the most positive person I've ever met and an inspiration to all his friends," he said.

Adam, who leaves behind parents Theresa and Tim Beddard, and sister Kate, died at his home on Monday.
