Two youths have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until September 29 pending further inquiries.

The 13-year-old victim was walking through the park towards Stourport Road at around 9pm on September 3, when he became aware of a group of teenagers behind him on bicycles.

A youth walked in front of him holding up a mobile phone, which may have been to film him, and seconds later the victim was struck to the head from behind with a blunt instrument, knocking him to the floor. The attackers then left.

The victim suffered swelling to the side of his head and was taken to Kidderminster Hospital for treatment but not detained.
