A sex attacker pounced on a woman as she walked through an alleyway on a Kidderminster estate.

Police today released an e-fit image of a man they would like to talk to in connection with the attack on the Rifle Range.

The victim, who is in her 40s, was walking near shops in Severn Grove when she was confronted by a man who subjected her to a violent sexual assault.

He then ran off after she began screaming and struggling. The woman, who ran to a nearby house for help, was left with soreness to her face but was otherwise unhurt. The attack happened at 12.15am on Saturday. The attacker is described as white, in his early to mid 30s, 5ft 8ins tall and with a stocky build.

He has a local accent, was clean-shaven and had short, mousy-brown hair which was short at the sides and slightly longer and spiky on top. He is thought to have been wearing a light or cream-coloured top, with dark trousers or jeans.

Witnesses should call police on 0300 333 3000.
