Tipton traders in road misery

Traders in Tipton were today bracing themselves for months of misery as a busy road was partially closed.

Tividale Road will only be open one way from Burnt Tree island until further notice.

Business owners who fought to prevent the closure are preparing for a drop in passing trade and a fall in sales.

The work is the latest part of the £12.3 million scheme to replace Burnt Tree Island with traffic lights. Motorists are already suffering miles of tailbacks.
