Boxing fans will get the chance to get their hands on Mike Tyson's championship belts at a city pub in Wolverhampton.

The Cross Guns, in Wednesfield, will be hosting a promotional event counting down to the former world champion's hotly anticipated "audience with..." appearance at the Civic Hall.

A special balloon launch at midday will kick off the September 12 session at the pub, with special balloons containing tickets to the Tyson-hosted show at the Civic Hall being released.

There will also be the chance for fight fans to have their picture taken with the original WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title belts that Tyson held during his career, which are now in the possession of super-fan Andy Booker.

He has had a big hand in luring the boxing legend to the city for the show, having built up a rapport with 'the Baddest Man on the Planet' from following his career right back to when the now 43-year-old was an amateur in the early 1980's, going on to attend all 58 of Tyson's professional fights.

There will also be a raffle and a Pink tribute act at the free admission pub event.

Tickets for 'An Audience with Mike Tyson' at the Civic Hall on November 4 cost £25. Call 0870 320 7000.
