Tipton Town Ladies FC has enjoyed another successful season, picking up a number of titles including Lucozade Sport Performance Club Of The Year.

Faye Harrison, manager and coach of the club helped it to win the Brasilia 09 tournament.

They were also named runners-up in Birmingham County Women's Division One Black Country Futsal League, with forward, Kiren Rana named top goal scorer in the Lucozade Sport Performance League. In recognition of this great year Faye was awarded the Charter Standard Coach Of The Year award from the Birmingham FA, presented to her by Sky Sports presenter Chris Kamara at the Grassroots Live show at the NEC.

She was also put forward by the Birmingham FA for the Regional awards which she won.

As a regional winner Faye now also qualifies for the National Awards.

Faye has also been shortlisted for the Coach Of The Year Award at the Black Country Sport & Physical Awards Ceremony, due to take place at the Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill, on October 9.

She said: "We go to Grassroots Live every year and I was delighted that some of the girls voted for me as coach of the year. It was a real joy to meet Chris Kamara.

"We got promotion to the Premier Division of Birmingham County Women's League last season so we can't wait to get started on this year's campaign."

Faye's next challenge comes as Tipton Town Ladies begins its first campaign in the Premier Division of Birmingham County Women's League.

The team trains in Tipton's Jubilee Park every Tuesday at 7pm.
