A period stone and brick cottage, a dilapidated barn and a large area of open agricultural land on the outskirts of Kidderminster are among the latest lots being advertised at auction.

Kidderminster-based auctioneers Halls, in Franche Road, say the rural plots are attracting a lot of interest from would-be buyers keen to take advantage of the potential for a new agricultural enterprise.

The plots will go under the hammer at The Gainsborough House Hotel in Bewdley Hill next month. A ten-and-a-half acre site called Lapwing, in Larches Lane, Oreton, near Cleobury Mortimer, will be sold in two lots.

The main lot comprises a period stone and brick cottage with two bedrooms, an adjoining outhouse, a dilapidated former stone barn and a stone garden store with six acres of pastureland, split into three enclosures.

The second lot, opposite the cottage, is an open area of pastureland.

The other agricultural properties on offer include 110 acres of arable land at Powk Hall Farm, near the Shropshire village of Claverley, which will be sold in five separate lots, and an area of arable and pastureland at Wootton Farm in Wootton, near Bridgnorth. The auction will be held at 6pm on September 2.
