Two teenagers have been arrested after going to a police station over an alleged attack when two women were drugged, driven to Sandwell and sexually assaulted on a night out.

The men, both 19 and from Perry Barr and Great Barr, walked into Thornhill Road police station in Birmingham earlier today.

They have been arrested on suspicion of committing a serious sexual assault.

It came hours after police launched an appeal to track down three men they believed were involved in the serious sexual assault.

The women, aged 32 and 22, had been out in Bridgnorth last Thursday when they met a group of men.

They were allegedly driven to the Great Barr and Perry Barr areas, and subjected to the attacks.

One of the women fled to Walsall Road, Perry Barr, where she flagged down a passing motorist in a burgundy car who drove her to Walsall police station.

Her friend also left and stopped a white van driver in the Sandwell Valley area who took her to Sandwell Hospital.

Detectives are still keen to trace both drivers who came to the victims' aid.

Anyone with information is urged to call CID on 0845 1135000.
