Rider dies after crash

A 20-year-old man has died following a motorbike crash in Rowley Regis.

Floral tributes and soft toys have been left on the side of the road at Powke Lane at the junction of Cox Lane after the victim, named locally as Stu Priest, hit a wall while riding his motorbike in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries, but died later that day. Emergency services were called out to the crash at around 1.30am. Any witnesses should call police on 0845 1135000.
