Two people were injured today when their cars collided at temporary traffic lights in the Black Country.

A Fiat Punto and a Volkswagen Polo collided in Burmese Way at the junction with Dudley Road in Rowley Regis just after 8.10am. Firefighters had to cut the drivers free.
West Midlands Police spokesman Steve Garey told how the 40-year-old man driving the Polo and the 19-year-old woman in the Punto were taken to hospital with whiplash injuries.
