Swine flu has continued to spread among schools in the Wyre Forest district with cases now reported at St Oswalds Primary School in Kidderminster.

A teacher and a pupil have been diagnosed with swine flu and Alison Taylor, deputy headteacher, said letters had been sent to parents.

She said: "We have taken advice from the NHS and Health Protection Agency and informed parents of the common symptoms of swine flu. We have said that children should not attend school if diagnosed with swine flu by their GP and also provided general advice on the need for hygiene.

Earlier this week a teacher and pupil at Baxter College at Habberley Road, Kidderminster, became the first confirmed cases with the virus in the district.

Two further cases, both pupils at St Johns CE Primary School at Blakebrook, Kidderminster, were diagnosed as having contracted the virus and three pupils at St Wulstan's Catholic Primary School at Stourport, were also being kept away from school.
