It was no hassle for The Hoff as Midland morris dancers gave actor David Hasselhoff a lesson in the traditional English art.

The Foxs Morris dancers from Cookley, near Kidderminster, are celebrating their tenth anniversary this weekend.

Members showed the ex-Baywatch star how to dance. The Hoff, as he is known to fans, enjoyed it but found it "slightly bizarre". He hopes to move to Britain to live and wanted to enjoy a taste of traditional English life.

Foxs Morris got a call asking them to go to Tutbury Castle, near Burton upon Trent, to teach The Hoff to dance. He was more than willing to join the 27 members.

Ian Hinksman, of Fox's Morris, said: "The event was part of a reality TV show where Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills was trying to show his American friend the real English life. The programme is expected to be broadcast later in the year and will feature The Hoff attempting to learn a dance called Tinners Rabbit. We spent a lot of time waiting around but when he arrived he was stunned.

"He was up for the chance to take part in the dancing and I think he really enjoyed it. He said he had never seen anything like it before and thought we were somewhat bizarre."

This weekend members dance at Evesham on Saturday morning and Broadway, Worcestershire, in the afternoon to celebrate their anniversary.

More than 200 people, including sides from across the country, are expected to take part.
