A Black Country school has been hit with swine flu after a pupil tested positive for the virus – but staff say it is business as usual.
The girl from Holly Lodge High School in Smethwick has been at home for a week and was tested for the condition on Saturday. Staff today said there was no question of the Holly Lane school being closed.
It is a marked difference from the policy of the Health Protection Agency (HPA) last week which closed an Oldbury Primary School because a pupil's father had contracted swine flu.
