A five-year-old boy suffered pelvic injuries when he fell from a moving car in Kidderminster town centre.
The boy, who has not been named, is believed to have been in a child's booster seat on the back seat of a Ford Galaxy when he fell from the vehicle. He was said to be stable in hospital today.
The accident happened as the car was being driven along Broad Street towards the junction of Clensmore Street at about 10.15am on Sunday.
It is thought the vehicle, being driven by the boy's step-father, was travelling slowly when the accident happened.
The boy was lifted from beneath the car by his step-father and a man and woman who were driving past the scene and stopped. Police want to speak to the pair, who were in a dark green car.
The boy was driven to his home in Kidderminster and an ambulance was then called to take him to Worcestershire Royal Hospital at Worcester. Witnesses should call 0300 333 3000.
