Three budding young entrepreneurs have been asked to help ensure buildings in Cannock Chase are more attractive.

The Young Chamber members from Chase Town Sports College were invited to attend a seminar and workshop.

The event was held by Southern Staffordshire Partnership, where they were asked to give their views on what makes good building design and to identify their favourite buildings in the local area.

Aaron Brotherton, aged 13, felt a well designed building should be "easy on the eye and impressive from the outside, spacious and modern with a simple layout."

The students were all in agreement that their three favourite buildings were The Ramada Hotel in Cannock, because it has a modern and sleek design, Chasewater Innovation Centre, which is built of green oak has an exhibition space, research facility and educational resources and the Ego Restaurant in Lichfield which is situated by the river.

Frances Wearing, Young Chamber co-ordinator from Southern Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "These students gave a wonderful presentation where their views and opinions were remarkable and made a great impression on the audience of 50 adults.

"Once again the Young Chamber Programme has given the students a voice."
