It promises an 11-hour feast of rock and is once again organised by Steve Slater from Dudley, lead guitarist with reformed 80s metallers Rekuiem, who are on the bill again.

Also appearing will be Demon, Hostile, New Generation Superstars, Holy Rage, Martyr de Mona, Hanging Doll, Abigail's Mercy, Upon Descent, Demise! and Oxzide.

Tickets are £10 in advance from www.britrock2009.com.

The first band is on at 1.15pm and Oliver/Dawson Saxon will be on stage from 10.30pm to midnight.

For those with any energy left there will then be a rock disco running to 2.30am.

Oliver/Dawson Saxon feature original Saxon guitarist Graham Oliver and bassist Steve Dawson, with ex-Slash/Shy singer John Ward on vocal duties. Expect to hear Saxon classics including Wheels of Steel, 747 (Strangers In The Night), Dallas 1pm and Motorcycle Man.
