Rain and drizzle is set to put a dampener on Bank Holiday Monday, forecasters said today.

The best of the holiday weekend weather is expected to be today, with the West Midlands enjoying highs of around 61F (16C) before temperatures cool to 55-57F (13-14C) tomorrow.

Express & Star weatherman John Warner said tomorrow would start out bright but would become overcast with some scattered showers.

"Today is the best of the bank holiday weather and after one or two showers overnight, tomorrow will be mainy dry but there will be a cool wind."

The RAC said up to 11 million Britons were due to take to the roads over the holiday period.

Virgin is putting on buses to replace trains on part of the Wolverhampton to London line.
