Arrest after M-way death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found on a motorway slip road in the Black Country with serious injuries.

The woman was found at 2.50am on Saturday and police closed a slip road of the M5 at Junction 2 and the Birchley Island in Oldbury.

The victim, in her 20s, was taken to Sandwell Hospital where she later died.

Police said a 23-year-old man had been arrested and was in custody helping with their inquiries.
