Now staff at Hammond Hill, Market Street, Stourbridge, face a race to get the star back in the shop before they take delivery of children's bedroom furniture themed around US hit TV series Hannah Montana. The home interiors shop was hit on Good Friday, with a vase, two rugs and cleaning products also going.
Customer services manager Lynda Hill, aged 33, of Worcester Lane, Stourbridge, said: "A colleague of mine saw the doors open and someone grab the cut-out before diving into a car waiting outside the shop. We ran out but it was too late to stop them. We'd had the cut-out about a week because we are just about to launch a range of Disney Hannah Montana bedroom furniture for the girls and Pirates of the Caribbean furniture for the boys.
"My four-year-old daughter Ellie is devastated – she wants to know who the naughty man is who has taken her."
Hannah Montana follows the double life of teenage schoolgirl Miley Stewart, played by Miley Cyrus, who takes to the stage as pop singer Hannah Montana by night.
West Midlands Police spokeswoman Catherine Preece confirmed police were called to the store at 3.30pm on Good Friday.
She added officers at Stourbridge police station were investigating the theft. Anyone with information should call 0845 113 500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 111 5000.
