A motorcyclist has died and two others were seriously injured in three crashes across the Black Country and Staffordshire.

A man died after coming off his bike on the B5000 Glascote Road, near Mercian Way, Tamworth.

Paramedics battled to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 4.10pm yesterday.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

A man in his 30s suffered multiple injuries when his motorbike collided with a coach in Four Crosses Road, Rushall, Walsall.

The coach driver was not injured in the incident at 9.15 last night and there were no passengers on the coach at the time.

In Kingswinford, another rider suffered serious leg, chest and pelvic injuries after a crash with a car yesterday afternoon.

The man, in his 40s, was taken to Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital following the smash outside the Costcutters supermarket.
