A teenage burglar who left his fingerprints on a bin liner in the house he raided has been sent to detention for 12 months.

Daniel Cole got into the property in Clee Avenue, Kidderminster, then let accomplices in, Worcester Crown Court heard.

During the night break-in, while the owners slept upstairs, property worth £3,000 was stolen.

None of the goods were recovered but Cole left his prints on a bin liner, said Miss Joanne Barker, prosecuting.

Cole, aged 19, of Broach Meadow, Stourport, pleaded guilty to the burglary which took place on January 19 last year.
