Shots fired yards from New Cross
Shots were fired as police stumbled across a gang fight just yards from Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital. Officers spotted a firearm and chased a group of men.
A cul-de-sac said to be a haunt for drug dealers and part of the Prestwood Arms pub car park were sealed off today as officers stood guard following the gun drama.

Police on their way to investigate an attack on a taxi driver in Prestwood Road came across the violence in Wickham Gardens, Wednesfield, where men were reportedly standing around an Audi arguing.
Residents reported hearing gunshots at 10.15 last night.
Today two officers stood guard at a cordon as they took the names of residents entering and leaving the road.
Police spokeswoman Catherine Preece said today two men, aged 23 and 31, were arrested nearby on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in custody today.
Councillor Milkinder Jaspal said the area around Wickham Gardens was known for drug dealing.
A woman living in Wickham Gardens said: "I heard low voices and saw three men looking dodgy. I heard two gunshots. I looked out my window and saw police around a car.
"It's very frightening."
