Murder team hunts for clues
Six people have been arrested today in connection with the killing of a taxi driver from Tipton.
Harun Khan was shot dead outside his home more than a year ago.
The 38-year-old father-of-four, known locally as 'Tala', was shot in Tudor Street on March 3 last year.
Three men, aged 56, 42 and 37, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. One man, aged 28, has been arrested on suspicion of the murder and conspiring to murder.
Two others were also arrested this morning but it has not yet been revealed on what charge.
The first four were arrested in the early hours and are being questioned by detectives from the major investigation unit.
Police have confirmed that a shop, Lifestyle Express, in Tividale Road, was being searched as part of the investigation into the death of Mr Khan.
Rob Blackmoor, 60, who has worked at The Village Pantry butchers nearby for three years, said: "I got here this morning and I saw the police vans there and I was quite surprised to see the shop closed.
"Nobody seems to know what's happened and I think people are surprised to see the officers outside."
Crowds gathered to look and two uniformed officers were standing in the doorway telling people the shop was temporarily closed.
To mark the anniversary of his death, Mr Khan's family put up a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the conviction of his killers.
