Motorbike crash victim is named

The 21-year-old killed in an horrific motorbike crash in Stone has been named by police.

Jamie Clarke, who lived in the town, died after hitting a lamp post in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Mr Clarke was riding a yellow and blue 125cc Aprilla along the B5027 Lichfield Road, between the A51 and Stone town centre, when the crash took place.

The 21-year-old, of the Fillybrooks, was heading towards the town centre at the time with another motorcyclist on a 125cc Jinlun Chopper, who was arrested after the accident.

He has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
