Alfie's darts too sharp for ex-champ Part
Three-year-old Willenhall darts sensation Alfie "Double Top" Galloway is celebrating his latest success by beating former world champion John Part in a charity match watched by hundreds of fans.
The youngster hit a double three to beat the Canadian superstar at a recent charity event held in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
Tiny Alfie, who practices six hours a day at his home in Silverstone Close, Bentley, has been labelled a darts phenomenon by professional players and has his eyes firmly set on becoming a future world champion.
Alfie beat three times world champion Part during a recent charity match held at the Peace Memorial Hall in Penkridge which also featured another top professional Terry Jenkins.
The audience erupted when Alfie finished off to win the one leg encounter even refusing Part's offer to let him play with his darts.
The youngster has been playing darts since he has been able to stand and hopes to one day take to the same stage as his darting idols and perform in the World Championships.
His father Ian Galloway said: "It was a fantastic occasion. When Alfie hit the double three to beat John Part the whole place erupted.
"It was a magic moment and he can already say he has beaten a world champion. John was absolutely fantastic with him and gave him his darts after the match.
"He just loves playing the game and practices for hours on end. If he is not playing darts he is watching it and his favourite player is Peter Manley."
Alfie is already being tipped to become a star of the sport by the professionals who have seen the phenomenon in action.
His highest score so far is 125. His obsession developed after his mother Kerry Staunton flicked through the channels one day and came across a darts match featuring Peter Manley.
His father added: "He would like to play Phil The Power Taylor next. Alfie has beaten one former world champion and now wants to take on the current one. He fears no-one."
